News for Parents
Dear Parents,
We are very excited to report that once again Darlington Learning Zone has had an excellent start to the academic year. We continue to offer a unique service and as you may know have enrolled a lot of new students, many of them through your personal recommendations, so a big thank you to you all.
Remember to claim your free lesson for each new student you recommend!
Feedback from our parents
We value all feedback from parents and students and have enclosed a feedback form that we would appreciate if you would drop off, when you next visit us.
Many parents have requested that we simplify the payment terms to avoid waiting at the start of a lesson to pay.
New hassle free payment terms
As a result, from 6th November 2007 lessons should be paid a minimum of 4 weeks in advance. The easiest way for you may well be standing order coming out in known regular amounts each month, never having to worry if you have paid the bill or not. Alternatively you can pay by cheque, cash or debit/credit card.
Will the student/teacher ratio stay the same?
Due to the success of Darlington Learning Zone we are of course faced with the obvious question of will the student/teacher ratio stay the same. With a waiting list for the majority of sessions, we have looked carefully at this issue. With your help the answer is a firm, “Yes, it will remain the same”. However, to achieve this, once sessions are booked they may only be cancelled or moved in exceptional
circumstances. With the number of students we now have it is impossible to keep the ratio so low and carry the cost of cancellations.
Can I still stop lessons in the school holidays?
As part of the parent/student commitment it is recommended and expected that all students continue tuition through the holidays. Time and time again we find that this really is a great opportunity to get ahead on some areas perhaps students were behind on during term time. We also find students are able to concentrate that bit more as they are not having lessons during the day.
Will the fees go up next year?
As part of our commitment we guarantee fees will be kept down to just £25 per 80 minute lesson until September 2008!
If you have been fortunate enough to be on 2006 pricing please note that your fees will increase to £25 per lesson from 06.11.07.
Are you open during Christmas and all through the summer?
We do need to have short breaks so please be aware Darlington Learning Zone will be CLOSED for holidays from:
Friday 21st Dec and will reopen on Wednesday 2nd of January.
Friday 8th August and will reopen on Tuesday 26th August
We will also be closed on Saturday 22nd of March ( Easter Saturday)
Best wishes
Gaynor and Ann
