Our Environment

Darlington Learning Zone was set up as a tuition centre in April 2006 after a great deal of research into the need for tutors in the Darlington area.

As very experienced Maths and English teachers we know how difficult it is to reach every child, all the time, in large classes. We are aware that many parents are looking for tutors to give their children more confidence in the core subjects of English and Maths.

We believe we have created something really special; a state of the art space where students feel comfortable. In our calm and motivational learning environment your child has their individual needs addressed - and they enjoy themselves!

We have found that as soon as a potential student and parent visit the Zone the atmosphere and ethos seem to match exactly what they are looking for. Each child is carefully assessed and a Personalised Learning Programme devised. The first thing we notice, even after a few sessions, is the increased  confidence they display. They know that their needs and feelings are really respected.
